TROUT FISHING AT YARRAMBAT LAKE

Around 35,000 rainbow trout have recently been released across Victorian lakes, giving families a fun, affordable school holiday activity – and a boost for local communities – thanks to the State Government.

This includes 1000 rainbow trout in Yarrambat Lake, Yarrambat. 

JUNIOR RANGERS HOLIDAY PROGRAM

Junior Rangers activities are led by a Parks Victoria Ranger to encourage families to explore parks and create lifelong connections with nature.

All families are welcome. Junior Rangers activities are free to participate in and are designed for primary school aged children. Activities take place in parks across Victoria during the school holidays.

FREE DINO DAY OUT FOR KIDS

Every Wednesday is Dino Day for the little ones at Melbourne Museum! Dino Days invites our youngest dinosaur enthusiasts to explore all things dinosaur.

From dino discos and dress-ups to story times and sensory soft play, it’s a dinosaur day out at Melbourne Museum.

FREE SHADOW PUPPET SHOW IN WALLAN

Wayang Kancil (Animal Shadow Puppetry) is theatrical shadow play presented through the animal character personification, based on the Indonesian Kancil story.

It teaches children lessons about morals and values, including the need to preserve nature and animals.

TERM 3: FREE ENTRY TO THE FOOTY FOR KIDS

Victorian kids aged 14 and under can enjoy the 2025 AFL Premiership Season for free in Round 21 thanks to the Victorian Government.
