WE DON’T JUST SELL SAUSAGES

Lions are a group of men and women dedicated to serving those in need, in our own community and
around the world.

There are over 1.4 million members in more than 48,000 countries. Membership
in a Lions club provides you with opportunities to meet and work with others in the spirit of fellowship, striving towards the common goal of helping others in need. The Lions Club of Whittlesea was chartered on 25th November 1969. At the time of charter, the club had 23 members.

As a Lions club we have been involved in many projects over 55 years in operation. However, one very important project that Lions were involved in was the Black Saturday Bush Fires that devastated our
region in 2009. Lions International donated over $100,000 and the members of our club worked
tirelessly within the community and ensured the funds were delivered to the areas that needed it most. The Lions club of Whittlesea are always seeking new members, to bring new ideas and help to service our existing projects.
