We're bringing back the State Electricity Commission (SEC) to drive down power bills, create jobs in renewable energy, and ensure Victoria's energy transition through a publicly-owned energy provider.
The SEC has been servicing approximately 5% of Victoria’s electricity use from 1 July 2025, after signing contracts that will see us power schools, hospitals, other Victorian Government operations and some of Victoria’s most iconic and loved places – like Flinders Street station, the NGV and Werribee Open Range Zoo – with 100% renewable electricity.
